Handheld Detector Manufacturer

Niton reached out to Denison Design Group because tradeshows were getting very low booth traffic. Most of the people who stopped to talk started with the question “What do you do?” Niton manufacturers a handheld detector for various metallurgy applications.

We met with top sales managers and product managers to understand what customers were really looking for in their product. In other words, not “What does your product do?” but “What does your product do for me?”

The most dramatic change DDG did for Niton was to focus on the two markets that represent 85% of product sales. The use of one dramatic product photo with customer-specific application photos identified the most effective customer-focused product strength, while creating a clear description of what the product is and what it does for the customer.
This new booth had customers waiting in line to talk to booth sales staff. The product manager called from the show floor during the first use of the new booth to report “This is a totally new experience. I’m overwhelmed. Thanks.”
