Optical Medical Device Developer

Optimum Technologies engaged Denison Design Group to drive traffic to their website. Optimum is an outsourcing resource specializing in optical solutions for the development of medical devices and/or instruments.

Our goal was to increase traffic. SEO was a tactical part of the strategy. In addition, we began a campaign of internet marketing through eNews, blogs, and LinkedIn updates to drive more traffic than just the organic search growth.

The web traffic was under achieving. The base line analytics included a high bounce rate, minimal time on site and not many pages visited. The strategy was to improve the organic search results. Originally each page had the right content, but it was written for reading in print. Within 2 months of our involvement, the numbers of pages visited doubled and time on site tripled. Within 6 months, the new visitors had doubled. Using our keyword research and best practices for SEO improvement, we reorganized the page content specifically for the viewer's eyeflow. We targeted 30 key search phrases that customers might use. The email campaign included a contact to their database every three weeks. We designed a template for a case study about one of their projects, a blog entry announcement, or an announcement of an event, such as a speaking presentation by the CEO.
The case studies feature Optimum's unique contributions to the success of the project.
The open rates are consistently 20% or higher with a click through rate of about 7-8%. The opt-out rates are less than 0.1 %. The industry norm, according to the email service used, is about 14% open rate and 5% click through.
